ASG Factor Mapping Workshop
On March 13, 2019 my colleague Jeff Walters and I held a workshop at IRC WASH’s All Systems Go! Symposium in the Hague to introduce the factor mapping workshop process to sector professionals. As part of the workshop we walked through an example of mapping the factors around users’ Willingness to Pay for Services. The participants in the session helped us brainstorm some of these factors and then selected five factors to map their direct influences on one another; Quality of Services, Affordability, Social / Culture, Regulations and Trust. The group quickly identified 23 of the 30 possible connections in the cross-impact matrix. We then produced an Influence Map and Causal Loop Diagram based on the matrix to discuss with the group.
